This knife exists because Allen Garcia—a police officer since 1988, former 82nd Airborne sergeant, and SWAT team member—needed a backup blade that wouldn't fail in close quarters. He's a member of both NTOA (National Tactical Officers Association) and IALEFI (International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors). Features
1095 High Carbon Steel — TOPS chose 1095 for toughness over corrosion resistance. This blade can take abuse that would chip or snap thinner steels. The tradeoff: wipe it down after exposure to moisture. The black traction coating helps, but this is a tool that rewards basic maintenance.
Tanto Point with Partial Serration — The reinforced tanto tip handles hard piercing tasks without rolling or breaking. Three deep serrations near the base cut webbing, seatbelts, and cordage fast—useful in rescue scenarios or when you need to cut your way out of something.
Finger Ring Handle — This is why the Sky Marshall exists. The ring indexes your grip instantly in the dark or under stress. Once your finger is through, the knife stays in your hand through impacts, grip transitions, and wet conditions. Black G10 scales add texture without bulk.
